Acrobatic Rock & Roll isn’t just about speed and power—it’s about moving in sync! This high-energy dance includes cool acrobatics, dynamic footwork, and fun partner moves. But don’t worry—you don’t need any experience! You’ll start with simple steps and progress at your own pace.

To get there, we also mix in fitness, coordination drills, and basic gymnastics—it’s truly a multisport experience! And if you keep up, you might find yourself performing at May Balls or even competing!

We are the university’s acrobatic rock’n’roll team! Acrobatic RnR is a lively dance involving lots of jumping, kicking and impressive acrobatics 🤸‍♀️We train twice a week and perform at balls or participate in dance competitions across the UK.

Come and join us on Wednesday 27th for some spooky rock'n'roll dancing!
We will practise one dance routine in the 2 hours, so you get the best experience if you attend both of the time slots (i.e. from 8 to 10pm). We also encourage you to wear a costume or a mask (along with covid face masks).

If you fancy trying Acrobatic Rock'n'Roll yourself, we encourage you to visit one of our FREE TASTER SESSIONS! These take place on Saturday 9th October from 2,30 to 4,25 pm in the University Sports Centre, and on Wednesday 13th October from 8-9 pm in the Stoneyard Centre (near Spoons). The Saturday session is focused on acrobatics and the Wednesday one on dance steps.
~ All years are welcome to attend taster sessions ~
